How I started selling berets

I bought my first beret in 1987 in San Sebastian, Spain and then sadly lost it several years later when my luggage went missing on a flight.

After searching high and low in France, England, and Spain,  buying several berets that turned out to be just not quite right I searched and found the name of the company in Spain that had made my original beret and bought a dozen. I planned to keep two or three and sell the rest on Ebay.

Well,  I sold those extra berets alright but I had more requests for berets and so I bought 2 more dozen, and then more and then other sizes and colors.  I now offer, I don't know, a dozen sizes and colors; even special order colors that required large bulk orders, and I sell them not just in the states to all corners of the world; including back to Spain!

What's so special about these berets?  Well, there made by a small family run company, Boinas Elosegui,  in Tolosa, Spain.  These are truly a quality product, they weave and felt the fabric themselves and are made from only the finest pure wool (I've had order held up because they rejected the wool they received!).    They are difficult to find even in Spain (as I found out during my search).

You can view my selection and order from my web site.
